June 17th, the book is officially launching!

Honestly, I don’t have much to say—just following tradition with a few casual words.

After the launch, there will be three chapters updated daily... The bonus update thread for check-ins is now obsolete; three chapters a day is already my limit, and four is simply beyond me!

To be frank, when I didn’t make it into the sixth-tier recommendations last weekend and dropped to the sub-list, I knew things weren’t looking too optimistic. This week is crowded with top authors, and science fiction is already a cold genre, not to mention sharing the same sixth-tier recommendation slot with the All Worlds category.

Still, I clung to a sliver of hope—what if I managed to advance after all? But when I received the launch notice on Thursday night, I realized my luck had run out.

Even though the recommendations didn’t pan out, at least the book is going up for sale, so there’s some comfort in that.

I hope you’ll support the first subscription. I’m just being honest here—seeing good numbers for the initial subscriptions would really motivate me, even if I have to put on a thick skin to ask for them. After all, how else can I fool myself with small achievements?

As for full subscriptions... if you’ve been reading along, just subscribe as you go. If you ever feel the story isn’t to your liking anymore, or if it collapses, just stop subscribing. If you’re not following regularly, there’s no need for a full subscription—no point in stockpiling chapters only to find out later that the story’s gone off track and you’ve bought a bunch you don’t enjoy. Not necessary!

Read at your own pace, subscribe to what you read. That’s how I read books myself.

Regarding piracy, there’s nothing I can do to prevent it, nor can I avoid it. Just do what suits your own financial situation.

If you enjoy the story, consider tipping the author a few coins on Qidian. If you don’t, no need to curse—just move on with a smile!

Alright, that’s enough rambling—time to get back to writing. After all, nothing beats sneaking in some writing time at work!
