“I used my lifeblood to divine a path of survival for you, but at the crucial moment, a mysterious force blocked me. I struggled to clear the fog, attempting to ward off disaster for you, yet the augury recoiled against me. Still, in the final instant, I managed to grasp a faint thread of vitality,” Tang Ruyan spoke slowly; her voice was still somewhat weak, but not gravely so.

“Domain Gate?! Is it the Domain Gate?” Guan Qian furrowed his brow, recalling that when he found Tang Ruyan, he also discovered the two golden characters spelling ‘Domain Gate.’

Ruyan nodded, continuing, “The augury was vague, as if enormous black hands shrouded the heavens. I couldn’t clearly see the mystery, nor discern the meaning behind the signs. All I sensed was that the Domain Gate was the sole hope for survival.”

Guan Qian fell silent, gazing up at the night sky where the pale vortex had long since vanished, his heart adrift in confusion.

This was a scheme, a grand trap awaiting Guan Qian to leap into. The consequence of that leap would be to plunge into an endless abyss.

He opened his palm, staring intently at the mysterious stone, half the size of his hand, his eyes deep and inscrutable.

The stone was smooth and rounded, with a lifelike eye carved onto one side, seemingly able to pierce into one’s soul—a strange sensation.

“Domain Gate, Domain Gate... Where does it lead? The False Prophet must know much about it. What is his true intent? And where is Jiang Qiang now?” Guan Qian was lost in thought.

“Guan... Prophet, the Domain Gate will reopen in three days, right near City Z. We need to prepare,” Tang Ruyan recalled what the last augury had revealed.

“Then rest for now. In these two days, I’ll take extended leave from school, and then we’ll plan our entry into the Domain Gate,” Guan Qian stood up, uncertain of what the future held. It seemed a vast net was cast for him, and he had no choice but to strive forward.

The Prophet’s duty—this was something he could not evade. His awakened mind told him the road ahead would be treacherous and arduous; inside the perilous Domain Gate, he would have to survive by any means necessary.

Three days later, Guan Qian and Tang Ruyan were fully prepared, waiting for the Domain Gate to open once more. In the preceding days, when Guan Qian went to school to arrange leave for himself and Tang Ruyan, he unexpectedly heard that Jiang Qiang, Fang He, and Mo Han had all disappeared at the same time.

He had never anticipated this. Jiang Qiang’s disappearance was surely linked to the False Prophet, but how could Mo Han and Fang He vanish without reason? Was the False Prophet not targeting only Jiang Qiang?

Guan Qian was furious. The enigmatic False Prophet was using the lives of three ordinary people to force him to appear—an act he could never forgive.

The night was tranquil, the moon bright and stars sparse, yet there was a deep, oppressive gloom.

A thunderous boom—

A sudden explosion shattered the night sky, plunging all of City Z into chaos.

Guan Qian and Tang Ruyan exchanged a glance and hurried toward the source of the blast.

In the distant darkness, a speck of white light expanded rapidly, soon forming a colossal pale vortex, hanging high in the night like a giant silver moon.

Gales howled, the ground trembled, tsunamis raged along the coast, dormant volcanoes spewed thick flames, floods ravaged villages, sandstorms swept through much of the Americas, and vast ice sheets in Antarctica fractured.

The world was plunged into extreme crisis!

It was the apocalypse, catastrophe descending, humanity engulfed in panic.

“Quick! Over there!” Guan Qian, carrying Tang Ruyan, activated his Prophet’s White Eye state.

Since his last fierce battle with the False Prophet, Guan Qian had mastered control of the White Eye state.

Moreover, in this state, he found that the side effects of awakening micro-consciousness were gone, to his profound relief.

The Prophet’s evolution was indeed advancing toward perfection!

“Well, well, my dear Prophet, I didn’t expect we’d meet again so soon.” The False Prophet appeared, shrouded in a black cloak by the night, eerie and mysterious.

“All right, I’m here. Let them go now!” Guan Qian said coldly.

“Them? Who?” The False Prophet frowned.

“Damn it, don’t play dumb! Don’t involve innocents. I'll enter the Domain Gate, but you must release the three of them first!” Guan Qian suppressed his rage; if Jiang Qiang and the others weren’t in the False Prophet’s hands, he would have struck already.

“Oh, you mean them! My dear Prophet, it’s a pity—they are now inside the Domain Gate. I can’t rescue them, sorry!” The False Prophet feigned realization, his expression helpless.

“You—! Damn you!” Guan Qian was furious, his White Eyes flickering wildly. He raised his fist, about to strike, but Tang Ruyan grabbed his arm.

“Don’t be impulsive. Now is not the time to settle accounts. Look, something’s wrong with the Domain Gate!” Tang Ruyan stared at the gate, her brows furrowed.

Indeed, the pale vortex in the night was spinning ever faster, the surrounding storm increasingly unstable. Sparks flickered within, making it appear, at a glance, like the gates of hell.

“Well then, dear Prophet, I have something to tell you. Listen carefully, or else... heh heh,” the False Prophet smiled demonically, instilling a sense of unease.

“What are you trying to do?” Tang Ruyan asked icily.

“Heh heh, it’s not about what I want to do—you should ask what you need to do!” The False Prophet cackled.

“Damn you! What game are you playing? I’ve had enough!” Guan Qian’s hands crackled with energy. He roared his demand, Jiang Qiang’s fate leaving him no patience for the False Prophet’s nonsense.

“My dear Prophet, are you threatening me? Heh heh.” The False Prophet shook his black cloak, squinting his eyes.

“All right, speak,” Tang Ruyan said coldly, her aura sharp.

“Heh heh, your task is to enter the Domain Gate and obtain the key to close it as quickly as possible. You’ve seen that the arrival of the Domain Gate is causing catastrophic disaster to this world. You have only three days to retrieve the key, or the world will be destroyed.” The False Prophet spoke calmly.

“What?!” Guan Qian was shocked.

“The Domain Gate connects to an alien space. Once inside, the Prophet’s senses will guide you to the key. So my dear Prophet, do your best. Good luck to you both—heh heh!” The False Prophet smiled wickedly, his figure fading like a specter into the night.

“Wait—damn it, I still have questions!” Guan Qian lunged through the False Prophet’s shadow, cursing as he watched him vanish. The fate of Jiang Qiang and the others left him deeply uneasy.

“By the way, to enter the Domain Gate, just let your Prophet’s consciousness merge with it, and you’ll be transported automatically. I’m sure we’ll meet again soon—heh heh.” The False Prophet’s voice echoed from the darkness, fading into silence.

“What now? Should we enter immediately?” Tang Ruyan gazed at the pale vortex, anxious. A sense of death was seeping from the Domain Gate—an ominous sign.

“Go! We must enter now. Jiang Qiang and the others are inside; I don’t want anything to happen to them. Besides, as you heard, the False Prophet gave us three days to retrieve the key and close the Domain Gate. Time is tight, and there’s no turning back!” Guan Qian said resolutely.

“Then—let’s go!” Tang Ruyan nodded, her expression steely.

With a shout—

Guan Qian fixed his gaze on the perilous Domain Gate, his White Eyes flickering. Without another word, he grasped Tang Ruyan’s hand and vanished.

The unknown danger had truly begun!
