Chapter 35: The Autumn King’s Ruin 1
When Le Yixian opened her eyes, she found herself in a lavishly decorated room. She paused, wondering if she had landed in the world of another Mary Sue novel.
“Gousheng, are you here?”
“Yes, Madam, I’m here!” A cheerful, childish voice sounded in her mind.
“Which novel world is this?”
“No relevant data found, unable to deduce at the moment. Suggest Madam take a walk outside.”
The last Mary Sue world had ended, and Le Yixian and Ke Yuandao had lived happily together, growing old side by side. After both had passed away, Le Yixian returned to the real world, but Ke Yuandao had not awakened. Helpless, Le Yixian could only continue entering his spiritual world to treat him.
To help Le Yixian better understand her foolish husband’s world of consciousness, Li Yue brought in a new device, connecting Ke Yuandao’s AI, Gousheng, to Le Yixian’s brain, assisting her in searching for and understanding the plot within his consciousness.
Le Yixian recalled that she seemed only to have initiated a Mary Sue story; nothing else remained.
She got out of bed and found the bathroom, heading straight to the mirror. The person reflected had black hair and dark eyes, fair skin, nothing peculiar in coloring, which put her at ease.
It seemed to be a normal world, Le Yixian thought quietly.
She changed clothes and opened the door, discovering that her current residence, though not as extravagant as the one in the Mary Sue world, was still very luxurious.
Descending the staircase, a few women in maid uniforms greeted her, “Good morning, Miss.”
Le Yixian: …
The scent of food filled the first-floor dining room. Looking around, she saw all manner of normal dishes on the table—steamed buns, fried dough sticks, rice rolls, century egg and lean meat porridge.
This relieved her; there were no flowers or spring water—truly wonderful.
Beside the dining table sat a pot-bellied, bald middle-aged man. Seeing her come down, he waved, “Xiaoya, you’re awake. Come keep Dad company for breakfast.”
Le Yixian responded calmly, recognizing him as the original owner’s father.
“Today I made your favorite shrimp and crab wontons,” the man said, turning to the kitchen and calling out, “Aunt Liu, bring Miss her wontons.”
“Miss, they’re a bit hot, eat slowly.” Aunt Liu, wearing an apron and with a kindly face, smiled as she delivered the steaming wontons.
Le Yixian habitually thanked her, drawing curious glances from the other two.
Did she break character? Le Yixian remained composed, picking up a wonton with her chopsticks and taking a bite. The fresh, springy taste burst in her mouth.
Her eyes lit up instantly, “Delicious.”
Both her father and Aunt Liu, who had been watching her closely, sighed in relief.
“Mr. Wang, there’s some left in the kitchen. Should I bring you some too?” Aunt Liu asked with a smile.
“Hmm, bring me a bowl as well,” Mr. Wang nodded.
Father and daughter enjoyed a harmonious breakfast together.
Afterwards, Mr. Wang wiped his mouth with a napkin and asked, “Xiaoya, you’re about to graduate. Have you decided what you’ll do?”
Le Yixian: Decide what? Could they give her more hints?
Seeing her silent, Mr. Wang couldn’t help but continue, “Although our family isn’t particularly well-off, Alice Hotel is my life’s work. After you graduate, help me at the hotel instead of going to another company.”
Not well-off?? Le Yixian’s mouth twitched slightly; a three-story villa, four or five servants already spotted since she came downstairs, and this wasn’t well-off??
“I’ll think about it,” she replied.
Mr. Wang sighed helplessly, “Alright, there are still a few months until you graduate. Take your time to decide.”
“You have class this morning. Let Xiao Liu drive you to school,” he added.
Unclear about her situation, Le Yixian nodded, knowing that saying too much could lead to mistakes.
Aunt Liu handed her a bag, “Take care, Miss.”
Arriving at the university, Le Yixian stood before the unfamiliar campus, feeling a bit lost.
Where was her classroom?
“Xiaoya,” a cheerful voice called from behind.
Turning, she saw a plainly dressed girl walking briskly toward her, “Good morning, Xiaoya. Did you have breakfast? I bought meat buns from ‘Heavenly Delight.’ Want one?”
Le Yixian shook her head, “I’ve already eaten. You have them.”
“Such a pity, the buns from this shop are really tasty.” The girl said regretfully, but without hesitation, opened the bag and took a steaming bun, biting into it.
“Delicious,” the girl said with a blissful expression, talking as she ate, “Xiaoya, where do you plan to go after graduation? I want to work for ‘Heavenly Delight’ Group. I hear their employee benefits are great, the salary is high, and their CEO is super handsome.”
Her eyes sparkled, “Apparently, CEO Huangfu will personally come to the campus recruitment this year.”
“CEO Huangfu?”
“Yes, CEO Huangfu Lie, one of the world’s top ten most eligible bachelors. If I can get in, I’ll see him every day—how wonderful.” The girl wore an infatuated look.
Le Yixian: …
“Zining, over here!” Suddenly, the girl spotted someone and waved in that direction.
A petite girl in a white dress ran over, “Good morning, Xiaoya, Wan’er.”
“Ding, intelligence on this world has been fully collected!” At this moment, Gousheng spoke in Le Yixian’s mind, “After searching multiple character names, it is confirmed the title of this world is ‘The Overbearing CEO’s Fiery Sweetheart.’ Summary: She grew up orphaned and diligent, determined to earn lots and lots of money. On her first day of internship, she delivered food to a hotel guest, only to have the handsome guest devour her along with the meal. Panicked, she fled. Unexpectedly, the next day she saw the guest again, who tilted her chin and flashed a domineering, wicked smile: ‘Woman, you are mine!!’”
“…”
“Character analysis: The female lead is Ouyang Zining; the supporting female is her friend Wei Wan’er.”
Le Yixian asked: And me?
“Madam, your character is Wang Xiaoya,” Gousheng replied after a pause, “Your family situation is rather complicated!”
“Hm?”
“Simply put, your character’s family is the most innocent, hardest-working, and most frequently ruined cannon fodder family in all CEO novels.”
“Speak plainly!”
“Madam, have you ever heard the saying—‘When the weather cools, the Wang family goes bankrupt!’” Gousheng blurted out.
“What?” An ominous feeling rose in Le Yixian’s heart.
“Madam, whenever the CEOs get upset, your family goes bankrupt!”
What the hell kind of setting is this!
