Chapter 007: Campus Mary Sue 5
Even though Le Yixian repeatedly insisted that she hadn’t eaten the candy, the H4 boys remained deeply worried, and the school doctor, summoned in a hurry, rushed over at top speed.
He arrived to find Le Yixian sitting safely in the classroom. Under the anxious gazes of several young masters, he nervously checked Le Yixian’s blood sugar and asked if she felt any discomfort.
Le Yixian shook her head, feeling a pang of guilt as she looked at the doctor’s white beard. “I’m fine. I spit it out after I ate it.”
The school doctor breathed a sigh of relief and turned to An Xiansi. “Miss Li didn’t actually eat the candy, so there’s nothing abnormal with her health.”
“Are you sure?” An Xiansi looked unconvinced.
The doctor squinted, his white beard bristling. “Still, I recommend Miss Li rests at home for a few days.”
An Xiansi nodded. “All right.”
Le Yixian: …Wait a second.
Twenty minutes later.
Housekeeper Li appeared, dressed in her uniform, worry etched on her face. “Miss, how are you feeling?”
“I’m fine,” Le Yixian replied, a headache forming as she surveyed the classroom she could no longer attend. With a sigh, she decided to let it be and followed Housekeeper Li home.
But upon arriving, she found a handsome young doctor in a white coat waiting in the living room with a medical kit.
Le Yixian: …
Seeing the doctor’s striking features, Le Yixian frowned and turned to leave.
Because the doctor’s face was identical to her eldest brother’s—truly irritating.
“Miss, please let Dr. Ke examine you. Otherwise, the master, mistress, and the three young masters will never be at ease,” Housekeeper Li pleaded as she saw Le Yixian trying to escape.
“Your health is the most important concern for our Li family…” Housekeeper Li continued to persuade.
“Miss, let me check you. Otherwise, the master and the others will worry,” the handsome doctor’s voice was gentle, as if coaxing a stubborn child.
Le Yixian stared at his face for a long moment before finally sitting on the sofa.
Both the doctor and Housekeeper Li breathed a sigh of relief.
Watching the doctor deftly arrange his instruments, Le Yixian grew curious. “What’s your name?”
“Hm?” The doctor looked at her in surprise. “Miss Yixian, you’ve forgotten me?”
“I know you?” Le Yixian raised an eyebrow.
Housekeeper Li quickly interjected, “Miss, this is Dr. Ke Shengxuan, your attending physician.”
Ke Shengxuan?! Le Yixian tried to recall but found no memory of this person.
Facing the doctor’s concerned gaze, she took a few breaths and spoke with a blank expression, “I have amnesia.”
After all, in these Mary Sue novels, amnesia is a common occurrence.
“What?” Housekeeper Li was shocked.
“I’m kidding,” Le Yixian added.
Housekeeper Li: …
A low chuckle sounded nearby. Ke Shengxuan noticed her gaze and covered his mouth, coughing lightly. “Miss Yixian, you’re much livelier than last time.”
“Oh,” Le Yixian replied coolly, then asked Housekeeper Li, “Can I change my attending physician?”
Ke Shengxuan’s expression froze. “Miss Yixian, do you dislike me?”
“I don’t like you.” Her answer was swift and direct.
Le Yixian pursed her lips. Serves you right for appearing in my man’s dreams.
With a command from the Li family’s little princess, Dr. Ke Shengxuan lost his position as the family physician.
That evening, Li family’s eldest brother video-called his little sister.
He was handsome, without Le Yixian’s flamboyant rainbow hair, sporting short, pale golden hair and captivating blue eyes. “Yixian, I heard you fired Dr. Ke?”
“Mm,” Le Yixian sat on the sofa, hugging a pillow, nodding obediently.
Li eldest brother: …My little sister is so adorable.
“Why? Can you tell me?” His voice softened.
“I just don’t like him,” Le Yixian replied.
“Dr. Ke is a decent person, but if you don’t like him, I’ll find you another doctor,” her brother said gently.
“I don’t want to see any doctors,” Le Yixian squeezed the pillow.
“No,” her brother refused outright.
“You know your health is special. You need to be checked every month. If you won’t cooperate, Mom and Dad will come back from abroad just to make you see the doctor,” he explained.
The Li family was a prominent clan in Celestial Empire, but in recent years, they had focused on expanding overseas. Most of the main members now lived abroad, leaving only the young Miss still studying at home.
“Do you want Mom to cry while taking you to the hospital?” her brother asked.
In her mind, Le Yixian pictured a cold, elegant face and couldn’t imagine her mother crying. She shook her head frantically.
“Then be good at home. I’ll arrange a new doctor for you.”
“Mm,” Le Yixian nodded.
Satisfied with his victory, her brother bid her goodnight and hung up.
Because she might have eaten something other than flowers, Le Yixian stayed home to rest for several days.
When she returned to school, she discovered that the opulent classroom now had a student who shouldn’t have been in her class.
“Hm?” Le Yixian gazed at the heroine, who sat at her desk with a troubled expression.
“Miss Mu Xue, are you feeling better?” Noticing her gaze, Guo Yiyi looked up and, seeing it was Le Yixian, a hint of joy flashed in her eyes.
“I’m fine now, thank you for your concern,” Le Yixian smiled gently.
“I’m glad you’re okay. I… I was so worried about you,” Guo Yiyi blushed.
“Thank you,” Le Yixian’s eyes drifted over her desk, noticing her homework. Guo Yiyi caught the look and hurriedly closed her notebook, cheeks flushed as she explained.
“I… I had something at home yesterday and forgot to do it. It’s not that I couldn’t.”
“Oh, this is the handkerchief you gave me before. I’ve washed it clean. Thank you,” Guo Yiyi remembered something and pulled out a rainbow-colored handkerchief from her pocket.
Le Yixian’s lips twitched at the sight of the handkerchief. Just as she was about to speak, a slender, fair hand reached from behind and snatched it away. “Mu Xue doesn’t need something used by a pauper like you.”
“Hey, what are you doing?” Guo Yiyi stomped her foot. “I’m returning it to Miss Mu Xue, and I’ve cleaned it thoroughly.”
“Hmph, what an awful smell, this cheap detergent,” An Xiansi sniffed, disdain written across his face. “Who would want it?”
He tossed the handkerchief straight into the trash.
“Felton Dickens Lan Poseidon Zeus Felio An Xiansi!!!” The heroine gritted her teeth, stepped forward, and swung her fist.
