Chapter 110: The Horror Story Gathering

“I underestimated them. The two of them together are probably more than I can handle. I’d better report back to Lord Ghost Moon first.” Lilith’s expression flickered with uncertainty. She had originally planned to deal with only Yeshin Wei, but unexpectedly, Su Cheng had interfered.
To the Netherworld, Su Cheng was also a potential threat. Last time, one of Ghost Moon’s subordinates suffered a humiliating defeat at Su Cheng’s hands and was nearly slain with a single stroke. So, Lilith decided to act decisively and dragged both of them into the Evil Spirit Realm, hoping to trap and kill them.
Among the assassins trained by the Netherworld, Maid Lilith was not the strongest, but her abilities were the most enigmatic. She could freely traverse the overlapping ghost domains tied to the real world, summon monsters from these ghost realms into reality, or directly pull targets into the ghost realm. Once pulled in by her, few survived to return.
However, Lilith never imagined that Su Cheng would so quickly find a way to escape the ghost realm.
The trouble was, now that Su Cheng was alert, dragging him back into the ghost realm would be much harder. If he discovered her location, the roles of hunter and prey might very well reverse.
Just as Lilith was preparing to leave before being discovered, her black pupils suddenly contracted.
Not far ahead, a familiar pair—a man and a woman—entered the café and walked straight toward her.
The man was tall and upright like a sturdy pine, with sharp brows and starry eyes, handsome yet radiating a fierce killing intent between his brows. The woman walking beside him was tall and graceful, her jet-black hair casually pinned up; her exquisitely beautiful face was frosted with coldness, exuding an icy elegance.
The instant Lilith saw the two, her heart sank, and a chill ran through her body.
Su Cheng curled a cruel smile, strode over, and sat opposite Lilith. With a half-smile, he said, “Why so silent? Weren’t you quite talkative just now?”
Lilith was restless but remained silent for a moment before speaking, “There’s a misunderstanding between us.”
“A misunderstanding?” Su Cheng sneered. He had barely managed to enjoy a date with a beautiful woman—eating barbecue, singing—without bothering anyone, only to be dragged into the ghost realm by Lilith for no reason, nearly scared to death by those flesh-eating ghosts. And now she called it a misunderstanding.
Misunderstanding my ass!
“The Netherworld’s target is only Yeshin Wei. I never meant to involve you,” Lilith admitted instantly, lowering her posture to explain.
Her abilities leaned toward summoning and spatial manipulation, and her strength was not formidable. If she fought Su Cheng and Yeshin Wei directly, she would be the first to die.
“Heh, do I look like an idiot to you?” Su Cheng chuckled coldly, pointing to his nose. To believe Lilith’s lies would be foolish. In the ghost realm earlier, she had tried to kill him too.
Lilith pressed her lips, resisting the urge to tell the truth.
“By the way, what grudge do you have with the Netherworld? They’re so intent on targeting you, even sending assassins after you,” Su Cheng asked with curiosity. Now that he was caught up in the feud between the Netherworld and Yeshin Wei, naturally he wanted to know the full story.
“I killed a key member of the Netherworld during a raid mission. Later, I found out that member was the younger brother of the Netherworld’s chairman,” Yeshin Wei paused, her expression turning strange. “That chairman is a serious brother complex.”
At this, Su Cheng didn’t know how to react and blurted out, “Is the Netherworld chairman named Uchiha by any chance?”
“Hmph, Lord Ghost Moon isn’t someone you can casually talk about,” Lilith’s expression turned cold, glaring at Su Cheng with hostility.
The next moment, a tangible, piercing killing intent surged forth, assaulting Lilith’s spirit.
The killing aura Su Cheng had condensed from slaying countless monsters in the raid wasn’t something a soft girl like Lilith could endure. At that moment, her heart felt as if gripped by an invisible hand, her eyes filled with endless terror, and she nearly wet herself.
“Sorry, I was wrong.”
Lilith trembled like a frightened quail. Though she revered Lord Ghost Moon, she wasn’t willing to sacrifice her life for him.
After all, she was just an assassin. Even if she left the Netherworld, she could join another organization.
“How many assassins does the Netherworld have? How strong are they?” The failed assassination mission would certainly be blamed on him. In the real world, Su Cheng was just an ordinary foreign student and had to guard against the Netherworld’s retaliation.

“I don’t know either.”
Crack.
Su Cheng clenched his palm slightly, crushing the coffee cup on the table into pieces.
“You’re not scaring me. I really don’t know. The Netherworld’s assassins all use codenames and are forbidden from private contact. They only appear during multi-person raids. I haven’t been with the Netherworld long enough to know about the others.”
“If that’s the case, there’s no use keeping you.”
A cruel curve lifted Su Cheng’s lips; killing intent boiled in his eyes.
Anyone who threatened him, even a busty maid girl in uniform, would be killed!
Lilith shuddered and quickly said, “Don’t kill me! I can help gather intelligence on the Netherworld.”
Hearing this, Su Cheng’s killing aura receded. After pondering, he asked, “You want to betray the Netherworld?”
“I’m just a mercenary assassin working for money, not truly betraying anyone,” Lilith found an excuse. Compared to the Netherworld, her life was more important.
But just as Lilith thought Su Cheng would accept her offer, his expression suddenly changed.
“But I don’t trust you.”
To Su Cheng, he had no way to control Lilith, and letting her go now would surely bring the Netherworld’s revenge.
“Damn it, I didn’t fool him,” Lilith’s expression darkened, and her figure suddenly blurred.
“Just wait. I’ll be back.”
She had spoken so much to buy time to restore her spiritual power and secretly open a door to the ghost realm, planning to escape into a different dimension to evade Su Cheng’s pursuit.
But she had been too naive.
“Trying to act tough and run?”
As Lilith fled into the ghost realm, Su Cheng’s hand shot out like lightning, grabbing the back of her neck and yanking hard.
The space around Lilith twisted briefly, her fading figure sharpened again, and she screamed in terror as Su Cheng pulled her out.
“What the hell?”
Lilith was dumbfounded. She never imagined that even with half her foot in the ghost realm, she could still be caught. Was this guy even human?
At this moment, café staff and customers noticed the disturbance, and several were already reaching for their phones to call the police.
“What exactly do you want?”
Panicked, Lilith screamed, trying to attract attention and escape.
But Su Cheng had already seen through her plan and sneered, “If you don’t want us to hand you over to the police, shut up.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Lilith immediately sealed her lips.
She was involved in many homicide cases; if she fell into the hands of the Supernatural Crime Investigation Unit, ten deaths wouldn’t be enough.

“May I help you with something?”
The café manager approached, looking at Su Cheng as if he were a predator trying to abduct a girl.
“Nothing. These two are my friends. We were just joking around earlier,” Lilith forced a bitter smile, her expression utterly defeated.
After the manager left, Lilith bit her lip, seemingly making a difficult decision.
“If you choose to kill me or hand me over to the Supernatural Crime Investigation Unit, it won’t benefit you. I can pay to buy my life and freedom.”
With that, Lilith produced a bank card from her pocket.
“Sorry, I’m not short of money,” Yeshin Wei rejected Lilith’s offer without hesitation. Raised in a wealthy conglomerate family, money was just a number to her.
Seeing Yeshin Wei refuse Lilith’s offer, Su Cheng was inwardly dismayed.
Miss, you don’t lack money, but I do!
To maintain his professional image, Su Cheng didn’t say this out loud.
“Then there’s no other way.”
Lilith put away the card, wearing an expression that said, “I’m ready; do whatever you want.”
“I do have a way. I carry a blank demon contract. If you’re willing to sign it, we’ll let you go,” Yeshin Wei smiled slyly like a cunning fox.
“Um, I still think paying for my life is better…” Su Cheng rolled his eyes and weakly muttered.
“Fine, I agree,” Lilith weighed her options quickly and accepted Yeshin Wei’s terms without hesitation.
Once you enter the Netherworld’s depths, integrity becomes a stranger.
For her, betraying the Netherworld was no burden at all. Refusing Yeshin Wei’s offer would likely mean she wouldn’t see tomorrow’s sun.
Lilith’s morals had always been flexible. As long as she survived, she didn’t care if she became a disposable pawn.
However, the demon contract could only be signed by two people. Yeshin Wei had countless maids of all types and didn’t mind losing one assassin maid. So, Su Cheng and Lilith signed the demon contract.
According to the contract, if Lilith betrayed Su Cheng, her soul would be devoured by demons, with no chance of reincarnation.
About an hour later, the Netherworld received news that the assassination had failed.
Ghost Moon was not surprised. If Yeshin Wei were so easy to kill, she would have been dead by now.
In the following days, Su Cheng lived a few uneventful, ordinary days, which need not be detailed here.
Four days later, one night, the raid mission notification sounded again.
“Raid mission created!”
