Is there ginseng growing at school?
The viewers in the livestream were all curious.
“If you don’t understand, just ask—could someone actually dig up ginseng on school grounds?”
“Ginseng isn’t picky about where it grows; it can really sprout almost anywhere. But digging it up from the school’s grassy areas? That’s just absurd. I suspect it’s scripted.”
“Bro, this is an agricultural university—anything’s possible.”
“That depends if any senior students have a project on ginseng. Maybe someone just casually planted it in the grass, and Wu Bin happened to stumble upon it.”
“Hahaha, reminds me of freshmen casually picking some vegetables from the fields, only to find out it was a senior’s year-long research project.”
“Feeling sorry for the senior for a moment.”
At Hebingbing’s signal, Wang Yong moved closer to give a close-up of the find.
Honestly, judging by its appearance, it really was ginseng.
Wu Bin happily took it over to rinse the soil off. After cleaning it, it looked even more authentic.
Xue Gui also sat up on the bed and asked,
“This kind of ginseng must be expensive, right?”
“I remember my dad bought some as a gift last year. One root cost tens of thousands.”
Wu Bin snorted.
“Mainly depends on the variety.”
“If it’s cultivated American ginseng, it wouldn’t be worth tens of thousands.”
“But if it’s wild mountain ginseng, then that price can be quite beautiful.”
Xue Gui’s eyes lit up.
“So you’re rich now?”
Wu Bin chuckled.
“Not quite, just making a little money.”
Wu Bin pulled a small knife from the drawer, which made Xue Gui quickly stop him.
“What are you doing? That’s worth thousands, and you’re going to eat it?”
Wu Bin glared at Xue Gui.
“Look at you, so unambitious. When you find something valuable, you naturally want to enjoy it first.”
“But I’m not extravagant enough to cut it in half. I’ll just snip some ginseng roots to brew tea—it’s good for health.”
Without hesitation, Xue Gui grabbed his own water cup.
Wu Bin carefully trimmed some ginseng roots, and if you didn’t know better, you’d think he was cutting gold bars.
Then he tossed the ginseng roots into two cups and poured boiling water over them.
As the roots swirled in the hot water, a faint fragrance wafted from the cups.
Wu Bin sniffed and wore an expression of bliss.
“No wonder it’s wild mountain ginseng—the flavor is pure!”
“This kind of treasure, not only can you brew it as tea, even just smelling it can prolong your life, hahaha.”

“Come on, brother, cheers!”
Wu Bin and Xue Gui clinked their cups, blowing on the tea as they drank.
Just as Xue Gui was about to take a sip, their counselor Yang Kang knocked on the door.
“What are you two doing?”
Seeing Yang Kang enter, Xue Gui immediately handed him a cup.
“Counselor, Wu Bin dug up some wild mountain ginseng from the grass, and we’re brewing it as tea.”
“Counselor, the tea made from this wild ginseng tastes pretty good, you should try some.”
Since Wu Bin’s sudden heart attack incident, Yang Kang had become the gentlest counselor at school.
This made him quite popular in the boys’ dorm, or else Xue Gui wouldn’t think to share good things with him first.
Yang Kang took the cup and smiled at Wu Bin.
“Wu Bin, you’re lucky—finding ginseng in the school grass, that’s something.”
Wu Bin smiled quietly without saying much.
Hebingbing seized the moment to ask,
“Counselor Yang, can you really dig up ginseng in the grass at an agricultural university?”
Yang Kang nodded.
“Well, as an agricultural university, many of our majors involve crop cultivation and grafting.”
“Although we have experimental fields, they’re too far from the dorms.”
“Some students, to be lazy, plant their projects secretly in the grass to observe and record.”
“Of course, the school officially prohibits this because the growing conditions in the experimental fields and grass are very different. Usually, only freshmen do this.”
“But in the past, they at most dug up some vegetables or fruits from the grass. Finding ginseng this time is indeed unusual.”
After hearing Yang Kang’s explanation, the viewers became interested.
“So the agricultural university is actually fun? Now I’m curious too.”
“My farming genes are tingling—tell me, what’s the admission score for your university?”
“I’m actually considering applying to an agricultural university. The working environment after graduation would be simpler, no need to play office politics.”
“Welcome all juniors and freshmen to apply to our school. Honestly, planting and breeding experiments are more fun than you think, like growing huge tomatoes or massive pumpkins.”
Seeing the chat room’s popularity rise significantly, Hebingbing was somewhat surprised.
It seemed many were interested in life at an agricultural university.
Previously, everyone’s attention had been diverted by Wu Bin’s incident.
Hebingbing naturally wouldn’t miss this chance to boost popularity and started asking Yang Kang more questions about university life.
Yang Kang knew this was a good opportunity to promote the school, so he spoke openly and exhaustively.
Just as Yang Kang was getting into full flow, Xue Gui’s voice came from nearby.
“Wu Bin, why did you go to sleep without even taking off your clothes? At least take off your shoes.”
Yang Kang looked back to see Wu Bin lying on the bed, his face flushed, smiling peacefully.
Yang Kang chuckled.

“Young people, huh? Just crash and pass out.”
Yang Kang raised his cup, about to take a sip.
Suddenly, his eyes caught something on the table.
His hand froze, and his face paled slightly.
“Xue Gui, where did you get this?”
Xue Gui nonchalantly said,
“This is the wild mountain ginseng Wu Bin dug up.”
“That Wu Bin, really—such a valuable thing, and after brewing the tea, he didn’t even clean up. What if someone takes it?”
Xue Gui reached out to grab it.
Yang Kang shouted,
“Don’t touch it!”
Everyone was startled, and Xue Gui looked confused.
“What’s wrong, Counselor?”
Yang Kang trembled as he looked at the cup in his hand with a small root swirling inside.
Then he glanced at the other empty cup on the table, his expression turning more horrified.
“Don’t tell me that cup has the same thing brewing inside.”
Xue Gui nodded.
“Yeah, that’s right. Wu Bin already drank it.”
“What about the roots?” Yang Kang was nearly losing his mind.
“He ate them. Wu Bin said it’s precious, so he didn’t want to waste anything—he ate the water and roots together.”
“Ah!”
Counselor Yang Kang let out a sharp, piercing scream.
He was about to lose it!
Can you even eat that stuff?
That’s just asking for trouble!
Yang Kang pulled out his phone and immediately dialed Xie Shan.
“Hurry! Come to dorm 106, Wu Bin is poisoned!”
Xie Shan cursed loudly.
“Damn it, why didn’t you just call 911?!”
Despite his words, Xie Shan grabbed his medical kit and ran at full speed toward the boys’ dorm.
