Qin Luo... didn’t go looking for Xu Ke?
Yao Yanyan stared at the message on her phone, identical to the one Xu Ke had just sent, and found herself momentarily puzzled.
She had arrived at the classroom early today, hoping to see if Qin Luo would come to find her for class as he had yesterday.
But after waiting a long while, even until the teacher arrived, Qin Luo never showed up.
Naturally, Yao Yanyan assumed Qin Luo must have given in to Xu Ke, that he had gone to accompany Xu Ke to class again, playing the role of her devoted admirer once more.
The very thought of this possibility infuriated Yao Yanyan.
She didn’t understand why she was so upset; before, when Qin Luo was doting on Xu Ke, she had merely watched with a detached curiosity.
But ever since Qin Luo’s recent change, especially after he sang that song yesterday, Yao Yanyan found herself reluctant to see him chasing after Xu Ke any longer.
She tried to hold back, but in the end, she couldn’t resist and sent a questioning message to Xu Ke.
To her utter surprise, Xu Ke was sending her a similar message at the same time.
This left Yao Yanyan perplexed. Qin Luo shouldn’t have had a class this morning, yet he neither came to find her nor Xu Ke. Where could he have gone?
Surely not to find Tang Yu, right?
At the very thought, Yao Yanyan couldn’t help but snort in laughter at how absurd the idea was.
Surely something must have come up today. Whatever, she didn’t bother to think further.
Feeling more relaxed after learning Qin Luo hadn’t gone to Xu Ke, Yao Yanyan’s irritation faded, and she glanced around at her classmates with renewed interest.
Having witnessed Qin Luo’s musical talents yesterday, the whole class was eager to see if he would come to class again today.
Unfortunately, his figure never appeared, and the disappointment was palpable.
Even the teacher couldn’t help but ask Yao Yanyan, “Did Qin Luo not come today?”
Yao Yanyan smiled and replied, “He’s not even a student in our class, there’s no way he can come every time.”
The teacher sighed and hesitated before tentatively asking, “I heard Qin Luo confessed to you before. If you took him seriously, wouldn’t that make him basically a student in our class?”
At this, even the students’ eyes lit up, thinking the teacher was truly cunning—finding such a clever way to ‘freeload’ Qin Luo’s attendance. The teacher was truly a master!
Only Yao Yanyan laughed nervously, responding with a half-joking, “I’ll try my best.”
...
Meanwhile, Qin Luo, who was on the minds of countless people, was walking toward the library.
He held his phone, ignoring the constant WeChat messages from Xu Ke, and leisurely searched a forum for the information he wanted.
Keyword: Tang Yu.
Indeed, Mr. Qin was resolutely walking the path of a scoundrel today. Now that he had established a friendly relationship with Yao Yanyan, he once again extended his grasp—this time targeting Tang Yu.

As a member of the Goddess Group, Tang Yu’s popularity was second only to Xu Ke, hailed as the ‘high mountain flower,’ and some even said their status was nearly equal.
In terms of appearance and temperament, Tang Yu was outstanding. Xu Ke’s allure came from her cool, aloof aura, securing her position as campus beauty, while Tang Yu’s charm lay in her approachability and warmth.
When people talked about Xu Ke, most held an admiring yet timid attitude—especially the male students.
Among the female students, about half would scoff and mutter, “Always showing off.”
Tang Yu was different. She was naturally kind-hearted, with a gentle and elegant demeanor, looking like a refined lady straight out of a noble estate.
Her speech was graceful, her manners poised and generous. Anyone who interacted with her felt as if bathed in the spring breeze—comforting and pleasant.
Thus, she was favored not only by male classmates but also admired by many female students.
Moreover, Qin Luo learned from the campus forum that Tang Yu was exceptionally capable.
She hailed from the capital city and had been admitted to the university in the metropolis not by the usual entrance exam but by special recommendation more than two years ago.
On her first day, she was overwhelmingly elected class president, then joined the Student Union’s External Relations Department, gradually revealing her talents.
While other freshmen were running errands for seniors, she was already helping to devise strategies, winning high praise from upperclassmen and leaders.
During the first semester, she secured sponsorship far beyond expectation for a school sports event, rising to become deputy head of External Relations.
Before the end of her freshman year, she became the head of External Relations and a member of the Executive Committee.
Near the end of her sophomore year’s first semester, she planned an event that led to her appointment as vice president of the Student Union.
Her academic results, social skills, and personal capabilities were all outstanding—a truly well-rounded prodigy.
If Xu Ke was a high mountain flower, then Tang Yu was a genuine genius of unrivaled talent.
Naturally, such a woman had no shortage of admirers at school. Unfortunately, while many could find reasons or excuses to talk to or befriend Tang Yu, none had ever succeeded in winning her heart.
If Qin Luo were to rank the difficulty of courting the Goddess Group, Tang Yu’s would surely be no less than Xu Ke’s, perhaps even more challenging.
Yao Yanyan was originally the easiest in his eyes, given her notorious reputation that made her seem less innocent.
But after checking her profile with his mysterious glasses yesterday, Qin Luo began to doubt this assumption.
As for the Chu sisters—one a foodie, the other a bit of a geek—what difficulty could they possibly present?
“This is a bit tricky. This woman is too perfect. Usually, if someone greets her, she’ll respond with a smile, but that’s about it. To get further interaction, there has to be a legitimate reason, like work-related matters. But I’m not part of the Student Union...” Qin Luo muttered to himself, scrolling through various posts about Tang Yu, pondering how to approach her naturally.
Just then, a voice suddenly reached his ears.
“You must be Qin Luo, right?”
He turned toward the sound and found himself at the campus parking lot. Not far off, a Mercedes was parked, and a woman wearing sunglasses peeked out the window, smiling and beckoning to him.
“May I ask who you are?” Qin Luo looked at her in confusion.
Her sunglasses concealed much of her face, but judging by the lower half and her mature, magnetic voice, she seemed to be around thirty years old—an age group foreign to Qin Luo’s usual circle.
The woman smiled and said, “Get in the car and we’ll talk.”
Qin Luo hesitated slightly.
She teased, “Don’t worry—this is the school after all. You’re not afraid I’d kidnap you in broad daylight, are you?”

Kidnapping? Qin Luo wasn’t afraid of that. He had many times benefited from his ‘strength’ attribute. Though he had never fought, he believed three to five grown men were no match for him.
Unless this woman had some secret weapon to disable him in one move... but frankly, in today’s peaceful times, on a university campus, who would drive a Mercedes just to abduct a male student?
Well... it was said some wealthy women had a taste for that...
Could it be she was attracted by my looks? Qin Luo swallowed nervously but still climbed into the passenger seat.
At the same time, his hand never left the door handle, and the door wasn’t fully shut—just in case something unexpected happened.
One should never harbor harmful intentions, but always be wary of others. Though the chance was slim, Qin Luo remained vigilant.
“What brings you to me?” Qin Luo asked calmly.
The woman glanced at him and chuckled lightly. “Little guy, young in age but not in thought... Don’t worry, I’m not here to kidnap or keep you as a kept man, even though you are quite handsome and fit my dating criteria well...”
As if you’re not after my body! Qin Luo mentally fumed.
Then he saw the woman remove her sunglasses.
Upon seeing her face clearly, Qin Luo was stunned for several seconds, then silently opened the car door and shut it with a ‘bang,’ politely greeting, “Hello, Teacher Shen Fang.”
Shen Fang smiled gracefully. “You know me? I thought young people these days didn’t listen to old songs anymore.”
“You must be joking. Your songs are classics. My parents are fans of yours. They’ve been saddened by your silence over the years,” Qin Luo replied politely, while a flood of questions stirred in his mind.
Shen Fang was a renowned veteran singer who debuted at sixteen, rose to fame at eighteen, and reached the peak of her career by thirty, producing countless hits with fans nationwide.
After thirty-five, she stepped behind the scenes and rarely appeared publicly.
Qin Luo had listened to many of her songs and, with his parents being her fans, knew a bit about her.
If he remembered correctly, Shen Fang should be about forty-five now. Although well-preserved and looking just over thirty, she was still from the older generation.
What could this music industry veteran want with him all of a sudden?
Surely she wasn’t going to make me skip decades of hard work?
Meeting Qin Luo’s puzzled gaze, Shen Fang didn’t keep him in suspense.
“Yesterday, I happened to see a video online of a boy singing a song titled ‘You Are the April of This World.’”
“I really liked the song, so I searched for it online but couldn’t find it anywhere. Then I went back to the video and learned from the comments that this song was your original work, and that you’re a student at this school.”
“So I came specially to find you, with a simple purpose: I want to buy the cover rights to your song. Do you understand?”
Shen Fang explained her reason for seeking out Qin Luo clearly, then smiled warmly, patiently awaiting his reply.
