“The Emergency Department is indeed good too, but each specialty has its focus. Your condition can only receive the best treatment here.”

“Is that so?” Ji Guoping replied calmly, without denial.

“Yes,” Cai Heping nodded. He just wanted to keep this patient.

He pulled Lin Nan aside and whispered, “Kid, what are you thinking, coming to our proctology department to snatch patients?”

“Are you serious?” Cai Heping looked incredulous.

“Rest assured, Director Cai. Once the patient is admitted to our Emergency Department, I guarantee he’ll be lively and well. If anything happens, we will take full responsibility,” Lin Nan said with a bright smile.

Cai Heping was a bit exasperated. What could he say?

He paused, then said in a low voice, “You’re only a resident doctor, not an attending physician. According to regulations, you can’t be solely responsible for a patient yet.”

“This gentleman is a patient of Director Bai. I’m only assisting on the side,” Lin Nan explained. He could officially register Ji Guoping under Bai Yunxiao’s name, making him Bai’s patient in name, but in practice, Lin Nan would be responsible for the treatment. And he had Bai Yunxiao’s approval beforehand.
