Upon hearing this, Lin Nan hurriedly said, "Take us there quickly." Ji Guoping immediately led the way, with Lin Nan close behind. Li Qin and Jiang Yuan followed as well.
Outside a damaged vehicle, a middle-aged man was cautiously tending to a young man lying on the ground, his eyes filled with anxiety. The young man was tall and robust, but his right leg was mangled, blood and flesh torn apart. His injury was severe, his face contorted in pain and drenched in cold sweat.
Seeing the doctors approach, the middle-aged man shouted anxiously, "Doctors, please save him!"
Lin Nan and the others quickly walked over. Li Qin and Jiang Yuan carefully examined the young man’s injured leg, their expressions growing grave.
“The bone and soft tissue damage in the leg is very serious,” Jiang Yuan said solemnly.
“And there are multiple nerve injuries in the leg as well,” Li Qin added, frowning.
Lin Nan examined the injury and silently nodded; indeed, it was a severe injury.
“Will his leg... be able to recover fully?” The middle-aged man anxiously asked, noticing the doctors’ somber expressions.
Li Qin and Jiang Yuan remained silent.
“He was just selected for the national basketball team. His leg can’t be damaged. Please, you must save it. If his leg can’t recover, his career will be over; he’s a promising talent in basketball,” the coach pleaded anxiously.
Ji Guoping watched on, his heart aching.
“First, we need to take him to the hospital for a comprehensive examination. Only then can we know if surgery can restore his leg,” Lin Nan said.
“Yes, the first step is to get him checked,” Jiang Yuan agreed.
“Can you at least provide some preliminary treatment? It might improve his condition before we get to the hospital,” the coach asked urgently.
“This injury is far worse than a simple fracture. Before a full examination, it’s best not to move him to avoid causing secondary damage and worsening the injury,” Li Qin explained.
“Then let’s get him to the hospital quickly. I’ll clear the way so you can arrive as soon as possible,” Ji Guoping said.
Carefully, Lin Nan and the others lifted the young man onto an ambulance, with the coach following close behind.
Escorted by traffic police, several ambulances sped to the hospital. The injured were rushed into the emergency department, with the most severely wounded receiving immediate attention.

After a while, the examination results for the severely injured came in. The patient with the head injury was diagnosed with a severe concussion and was immediately taken to surgery. The others, although seriously hurt, received proper treatment.
Only the young man with the crushed leg troubled the doctors.
In Bai Yunxiao’s office, many had gathered, including the deputy chiefs of orthopedics and neurology. Lin Nan and the others were summoned by Bai Yunxiao as well.
“Old Bai, according to the results, the patient’s thigh bone is badly fractured, blood vessels ruptured, and some nerves partially severed. If it were just the fracture, we could fully heal it, butI'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
