Chapter 58: Truly Despicable
The alarm of survival instinct completely woke up the slightly dizzy bald man.
At this moment, the bald man could no longer care about his bleeding nose and his shattered teeth. He forced himself to muster some spirit and begged, "I, I'm sorry, I, I was wrong. Please let me off this once. I really was wrong, I'm begging you."
Cao Kun spread his hands and said calmly, "Let you off? Are you fucking blind? Where the hell do I have a horse?"
With that, Cao Kun grabbed the bald man by the neck, lifted him up directly, and dragged him toward the very back of the carriage.
However, after taking only two steps, as if remembering something, Cao Kun hurriedly turned his head to look at Bai Jing.
Meeting Bai Jing's expression of utter shock, shock, and more shock, Cao Kun smiled, revealing a breeze-like, gentle smile.
"Wait for me a moment, I'll be right back."
After saying this, Cao Kun turned his head back, his expression returning to utter indifference as he dragged the bald man, who weighed over two hundred pounds, and continued toward the last row of the carriage.
Along the way, all the passengers automatically fell silent. Many didn't even dare to look straight at him, only stealing sideways glances to escort them past.
Good grief!
How on earth did he pull that off?
Judging purely by build, the bald man was at least several sizes larger than Cao Kun, weighing easily around two hundred thirty or forty pounds.
Yet, a man of that weight was being dragged along nonchalantly by Cao Kun, whose physique looked utterly ordinary, held by the neck with a single hand as if he were dragging a dead dog.
Just how immense must his arm strength be?
If he were to punch someone, he could probably cripple them with a single blow, or perhaps even kill them outright, right?
Cao Kun ignored the gazes cast by the passengers. At this moment, he looked like a monarch inspecting his own territory, his gaze disdainful, completely disregarding the people around him.
Soon, Cao Kun dragged the bald man to the very back of the carriage.
At that moment, a heavily made-up young woman in her early twenties, dressed somewhat like a punk girl, was sitting in the back row, staring blankly as the two approached step by step.
She was the bald man's accomplice!
When Cao Kun first boarded the bus, he had seen this punk girl fooling around with the bald man.
Like tossing a dead dog, Cao Kun threw the bald man down beside the punk girl and said indifferently, "What's your relationship?"
The punk girl jolted, snapping fiercely back to her senses, and said with a trembling voice, "H-He is my boyfriend."
A boyfriend?
Cao Kun narrowed his eyes and said, "Did you know what he went to do?"
The young woman had been completely terrified by the arrogant and domineering aura emanating from Cao Kun. She answered whatever she was asked, nodding frantically, "H-He said that woman... No, y-your companion is an absolute stunner. H-He wanted to mess around with her, so, so he went over to chat her up."
"Then why didn't you stop him?" Cao Kun asked.
"I, I..." The punk girl stammered for a moment without being able to spit it out.
Cao Kun turned to the bald man: "You tell me."
The bald man's nose was still bleeding. While desperately trying to cover his nose with his hand, he stammered, "It's... just... just..."
After repeating "just" three times, he still couldn't get the actual reason out. Impatient, Cao Kun delivered a sharp slap across his face.
Blood gushed even more profusely from the bald man's nose.
"Say 'just' one more fucking time and I'll slap you to death. Speak!"
Having taken this slap from Cao Kun, the bald man's internal defense completely collapsed. Covering his face like a little girl weighing over two hundred pounds, he whimpered:
"It's because she told me to go! Because... your companion's boobs are bigger than hers, her waist is slimmer than hers, her ass is rounder than hers, and she's prettier than her too. She was jealous, so she told me to go tease her."
Oh!
So that was it!
Cao Kun looked at the punk girl: "Is that true?"
The punk girl pouted her lips, on the verge of crying: "Y-Yes, I'm sorry. I-I was just joking. I-I... I'm sorry."
"Damn it!" Cao Kun cursed. "If apologies were useful, wouldn't this pair of fists of mine go to waste?"
"You don't look like much, but your heart is rotten to the core. If someone doesn't properly educate you, won't you end up going down the wrong path in the future?"
With that, Cao Kun gave the punk girl a meaningful look and said, "Wait for me in the restroom. I need to give you a thorough education so you understand what virtue and morality mean!"
The punk girl looked at Cao Kun with a tearful expression and pleaded, "I really was wrong, I'm begging you, I really knew I was wrong, I..."
Suddenly, before she could finish, Cao Kun grabbed a handful of her hair and yanked her down from her seat.
With violent force, Cao Kun pulled her hair to force her face-to-face with him, lowering his voice:
"Damn it, are you deaf or what? Go wait for me in the restroom!"
"If I hear another word of nonsense from you, I'll smash your skull open!"
Meeting Cao Kun's chilling gaze at that moment, the punk girl shivered all over as if she had seen a ghost.
Without daring to utter another word of nonsense, she practically scrambled and crawled into the adjacent restroom.
Cao Kun looked at the bald man, reached out, and patted his face, saying, "Watch the door!"
With that, Cao Kun stepped into the restroom as well and locked the door from the inside.
Not long after, faint sounds of a woman reciting vows drifted out from within.
"I swear that starting today, I will be a person useful to society, a person who contributes to the country..."
One hour later!
Cao Kun walked out of the restroom.
At this moment, the bleeding from the bald man's nose had finally stopped, but he was still covering it with both hands.
Seeing Cao Kun emerge, along with the gaze he directed toward him, the bald man shuddered and instinctively shrank back.
Seeing this, Cao Kun muttered, "Damn it, haven't you even taken a basic civic education class? I really have no idea how two degenerates like you two ever ended up together."
With that, Cao Kun reached out and slapped the bald man once more.
"Remember, this intensive education was free of charge. If there's a next time, I'll be charging a fee."
Having said his piece, Cao Kun didn't bother to look at the bald man again and strode back to his seat.
It wasn't until three full minutes later that the punk girl finally emerged from inside. Her face was flushed red, her eyes timid and cowed, and she didn't even dare to make eye contact with the bald man.
Seeing this, the bald man clenched his fists tightly, unwilling to let it go as he said, "You two..."
The punk girl shook her head hurriedly, "No, nothing happened! H-He just gave me some education, asking me to... to be a good person, not to stir up trouble, and to be a person who contributes to society and the country."
The bald man felt his teeth itching with hatred. He felt as though everyone in the entire carriage was looking at him right then, mocking him.
Yet, the moment he thought of Cao Kun's chilling eyes, he trembled from the bottom of his heart.
What kind of person was this anyway?
How could anyone have such a terrifying gaze?
What on earth had he been through?
In the end, as if his backbone had been ripped out, the bald man slumped significantly and said powerlessly, "Let's get off at the next stop."
The punk girl bit her lip and nodded, keeping her head slightly bowed, still not daring to meet the bald man's eyes...
