Chapter 137: Shameless

Mo Han recalled how Li An’an had looked so fondly at the most expensive LV bag. He had never gifted her a bag before, so he decided to seize this opportunity to give her one.
“Waiter, please wrap this bag for me,” Mo Han said as he took the hundred-thousand-yuan bag to the cashier.
“Sir, this bag costs one hundred thousand yuan. Are you sure you want it?” The cashier’s eyes lit up as she spoke.
“Wrap it,” Mo Han replied, pulling out his bank card to pay.
Seeing Mo Han actually swipe a hundred thousand yuan, the cashier’s expression changed completely. With a bright smile, she carefully wrapped the bag.
When Mo Han returned to the LV store, Wu Wan was momentarily stunned but then curled her lips into a cold sneer.
“Li An’an, your useless husband actually went back to buy you an LV bag,” Wu Wan mocked.
She guessed Mo Han might have genuinely forgotten something in the store.
But buying a bag for Li An’an? That was laughable.
The bags here were at least five or six thousand yuan, and Mo Han was just a security guard. Did he sell a kidney to afford it?
Even if they knew Chen Jianpeng, there was no way Chen would give them money.
Li An’an smiled faintly, trusting her intuition. She indeed felt Mo Han had gone to buy the bag for her, but she couldn’t be bothered to argue with Wu Wan.
Soon, Mo Han came out carrying the wrapped LV bag. No one knew the price since it was still wrapped.
He really did buy the bag?
Wu Wan was stunned, barely able to believe that Mo Han had actually bought a bag for Li An’an.
“An’an, you like it, right? Here, take it,” Mo Han handed the bag to Li An’an.
Li An’an said nothing, but inside she was a little excited. After all, this was the first gift Mo Han had ever given her.
They had been married for over a year, but Mo Han had always been a bit reserved and hadn’t bought her gifts before.
Later, when Mo Han returned to his usual self, they had both been too busy to leisurely shop.
“Let’s open it and see what Mo Han bought you,” Wu Wan said with a forced smile, snatching the bag from Li An’an’s hands, eager to see it for herself and mock Mo Han.
“Wu Wan, what are you doing?” Li An’an frowned. Wu Wan was really going too far.
“Oh, An’an, I’m just trying to help you open it,” Wu Wan said with a fake smile.
Li An’an tried to grab the bag back—not because she was worried about Mo Han losing face; he had billions in his account, so she trusted he wouldn’t just spend a few thousand yuan on her.
She just couldn’t stand Wu Wan’s attitude.

But just as she reached out to snatch it back, Wu Wan had already opened the packaging.
She then froze.
It was the best LV bag?
Wu Wan could hardly believe it—Mo Han had bought Li An’an the most expensive bag, one even she hadn’t dared to ask Xu Jie to buy for her.
Xu Jie was shocked.
Wasn’t Mo Han just a security guard?
Where did he get a hundred thousand yuan to buy a bag?
Xu Hong widened her eyes, finally sensing there was more to Mo Han than met the eye.
Mo Han remained silent, even when Li An’an took him to see her new home, he sincerely praised it.
Who would have thought he had so much money to buy a bag worth a hundred thousand yuan for Li An’an?
Even Xu Jie hadn’t bought such an expensive gift for his daughter.
“Mo Han, I didn’t expect you to be so despicable—too poor to buy a bag and have to steal one!” Wu Wan suddenly sneered.
If Mo Han had just bought a few thousand yuan bag for Li An’an, she might have tolerated it. But to take the most expensive bag from the store—that was a hundred thousand yuan.
How could she believe Mo Han bought it?
She was certain the bag was stolen; otherwise, Mo Han couldn’t afford it even by selling his kidney.
“Are you joking? Steal a bag?” Mo Han snapped, tired of her accusations, sneering coldly at Wu Wan.
Wu Wan had been flaunting in front of them for a while, and since they were family, he had let it slide. Also, he had purposely left and then returned to buy the bag to avoid embarrassing Wu Wan’s family.
He never expected Wu Wan to be so shameless.
“If you didn’t steal it, then do you dare to go inside and prove it?” Wu Wan shouted.
She would never admit Li An’an’s life was better than hers.
Nor would she allow Mo Han to embarrass her in front of Xu Fang.
“That’s right, Mo Han, aren’t you a security guard? Where did you get so much money? This is a hundred thousand yuan, not ten,” Xu Hong said suspiciously.
“Who told you I’m a security guard? Besides, can’t a security guard have a hundred thousand yuan in savings?” Mo Han teased Xu Hong.
“I don’t care if you’re a security guard or not. I’m just asking if you dare to go inside and prove it,” Wu Wan yelled.

Xu Jie frowned and tugged on Wu Wan’s hand, trying to calm her down.
Mo Han didn’t feel like a mere security guard to him.
More importantly, he had noticed Chen Jianpeng treated Mo Han’s family with a kind of respect.
Whether it was just a feeling or not, Xu Jie believed Mo Han was definitely not ordinary.
But Wu Wan’s eyes had already turned red. Earlier, Xu Fang had embarrassed her in front of Chen Jianpeng. Now, seeing Mo Han supposedly steal a bag, how could she let this chance slip away?
“Fine, as you wish,” Mo Han said with a mocking smile, stretching out his hand toward the LV store.
Wu Wan snorted coldly and walked toward the store with the bag, Mo Han’s eyes flashing with sharp light as he followed.
Li An’an and the others exchanged glances, then also walked inside.
“Excuse me, how do you work here? You didn’t even notice someone swapped the bag?” Wu Wan slammed the bag onto the cashier’s counter.
The cashier and another clerk frowned, not understanding what Wu Wan meant.
“Your boss pays your salary. Is this how you work?” Wu Wan scolded.
“Miss, how we work isn’t for you to teach. Though you’re a customer, please watch your manners,” the cashier replied unhappily.
“Hmph, how dare you talk back? Look at what bag you sold him before, and look at the one he took now,” Wu Wan pointed at the hundred-thousand-yuan bag on the counter, then glared at Mo Han.
The cashier was speechless. “Miss, you must be mistaken. This gentleman just bought this bag.”
“With him? He’s a security guard. How could he afford a hundred-thousand-yuan bag? Are you stupid or am I?” Wu Wan mocked.
“This is the card payment receipt,” the cashier said, exasperated, and handed the receipt to Wu Wan.
Wu Wan glanced at the receipt; it was indeed for one hundred thousand yuan, and the time matched perfectly.
It really was Mo Han who bought it!
Wu Wan’s heart sank to the bottom.
But how could Mo Han have so much money to buy Li An’an such a bag?
She looked at Li An’an, suddenly thinking: Could Li An’an have given Mo Han the money in advance and asked him to put on this show?
“Li An’an, I never imagined you to be such a scheming woman. To slap my face, you first gave Mo Han money, then made him act out this whole charade. I truly underestimated your family!” Wu Wan sneered coldly.
