"What does this have to do with me?" Li An’an asked, feigning innocence. Mo Han was her husband; wasn't it perfectly normal for him to buy her a handbag?

"Hmph, don't play dumb with me. If you hadn't given Mo Han the money in advance, could he even afford a hundred-thousand-dollar bag?" Wu Wan sneered, her eyes filled with venomous hatred as she glared at Li An’an.

She had intended to flaunt her superiority over Li An’an’s family, but instead, she had fallen into Li An’an’s trap, ending up completely humiliated.

"So, you think Mo Han has no money?" Li An’an laughed. She really didn't want to crush Wu Wan’s family, but they left her no choice.

"Li An’an, how can you be so manipulative? Playing mind games with your own cousin—I really misjudged you!" Xu Hong shouted angrily. Even though it was her own daughter who was being calculating, she insisted on blaming Li An’an.

"Auntie, you’ve seen it yourself. The whole time, you’ve been the ones showing off. Have we said a word? And take this bag, for instance. Mo Han waited until we all left to go back and buy it specifically because he didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable. I didn't want to open it for the same reason, but Wu Wan insisted on snatching it away to see what was inside. Can you really blame me for that? And after she saw it was the best bag in the shop, she tried to slander Mo Han by saying he stole it. You tell me—who is the real schemer here?"

Li An’an was truly angry now. She hadn't expected Wu Wan to be so shameless, let alone Xu Hong, who had the gall to call her a manipulative bitch. If not for the sake of family, she wouldn't have given Wu Wan the chance to show off in the first place.

Li An’an’s words left Wu Wan and Xu Hong looking hideous, their rage mounting. Every word she spoke confirmed the painful truth: that they had been fools, practically offering their own faces up to be slapped.

"Hmph! That’s just because you wanted to show off in front of your cousin that you’re living better than her. We’re all family—I never thought you’d be so vicious!" Xu Hong argued unreasonably.

Furious, Li An’an laughed. "Auntie, whether I’m living well or not is my business. I don’t brag to others, unlike some people who get a little money and start acting like the richest person on earth, dying to show off their wealth to the whole world."

The jab at Wu Wan’s vanity was obvious. Wu Wan exploded. "So what if I like to show off? My boyfriend is rich and a business owner; I have the right to show off! Unlike some people who married a loser that only works as a doorman—a man who needs a woman’s money just to buy a bag. What a useless piece of trash!" Wu Wan cast a look of utter disdain at Mo Han.

Mo Han simply smiled. He hadn't wanted to stoop to Wu Wan’s level, but her arrogance had finally crossed the line.

"Pack up every single bag in this shop. I’ll take them all," Mo Han suddenly announced, turning to the cashier.

The cashier was stunned. The total value of the bags in the store was at least four or five million. Was he serious? The other sales clerk stood frozen, wondering if this man had lost his mind.

"Mo Han, are you here to be a comedian? You want to buy everything in the shop? Go ahead, show us the money then," Wu Wan mocked. A purchase like that would cost millions. If he couldn't pay, he’d be the laughingstock of the entire city.

"S-sir, are you certain you aren't joking?" the cashier finally managed to ask.

"Do I look like I’m joking?" Mo Han replied, placing his card on the counter.

The clerks exchanged nervous glances. Even if he could afford it, who would buy all this? "What are you standing there for? Pack it all up, now!" Wu Wan barked, her mind spiraling into a frenzy of spite and disbelief. She didn't believe for a second that Mo Han could actually pull this off. If he really paid for all of this, she’d eat her own words—literally.

She watched with a smug, anticipatory smile, waiting for the moment Mo Han failed to pay. She couldn't wait to see how he would crawl out of this embarrassment.

Xu Jie, however, frowned. As a business owner himself, he knew better than to be as ignorant as Wu Wan. He realized that if Mo Han dared to make such a claim, he likely possessed the means to back it up. Wu Wan’s ignorance had blinded her to Mo Han’s true stature.

"Second sister, how can you just stand there and let Mo Han make such a fool of himself? He’s having them pack everything up, but when he can’t pay, do you think they’ll just let him walk away?" Xu Hong whispered, full of malicious glee. She was certain the shop would call the police, and not only would the family be humiliated, they would be held liable for the damages.

"My son-in-law could buy this entire building if he wanted to," Xu Fang retorted, her confidence in Mo Han unwavering. She knew he had come into money recently; a few million was nothing to him.

"I’m just worried that when he can't pay, you’ll all be spending the night in a jail cell," Xu Hong chuckled, reveling in the thought. It was a shame that what started as a family outing had turned into such a bitter feud.

Mo Han simply shook his head. He had tried to be considerate for the sake of family, but Wu Wan had pushed him too far.

"Sir, everything is packed. The total is 4.54 million. We’ll give you a discount—4.5 million. Please, go ahead and swipe," the cashier said, wiping sweat from her brow.

4.5 million! Wu Wan and the others watched with mocking grins, waiting for the inevitable failure.

Mo Han nodded, swiped his card, and entered his PIN.

As the transaction went through, the eyes of Wu Wan and her party widened in utter disbelief. Wu Wan’s face drained of all color, and she collapsed to the floor, her eyes vacant and hollow. She had come here today to reclaim her pride in front of Xu Fang, but in the end, she had lost everything.
