After playing at the amusement park for most of the afternoon, Li An'an began to feel tired and called for them to go home.
Seeing that Xiaoxiao had had enough fun as well, Mo Han nodded.
As for Liu Changqing's threats, he had never taken them seriously.
Over the next few months, Mo Han enjoyed a rare stretch of leisure. Apart from formulating several new medicines, he spent most of his time playing with his daughter.
As for Xu Jing and the hundred or so others, he usually left their training to Ding Si.
Those months were also the most peaceful period the pharmaceutical factory had ever known.
Not a single person came looking for trouble.
Even the employees found themselves somewhat unaccustomed to it.
The launch of seven new products not only earned Li An'an and Mo Han a substantial fortune, but also enabled Chen Jianpeng and his siblings to make an enormous profit.
One day, Li Xiande and Li An'an convened a shareholders' meeting. There were only a few people present, and the main topic was the pharmaceutical company's next step: expanding into Chandu.
Previously, Mo Han had eliminated Li Xianren and seized nearly two billion yuan in cash and assets from him.
Mo Han intended to use those funds for investment in Chandu.
He was not the sort of person who liked to keep all the gains for himself. This time, his position was clear: if the Chen family was willing, he would take them along to invest in Chandu.
Of course, Mo Han also planned to give Li Qilang and Xu Jing a small amount of stock options as recognition and reward for their performance during this period.
Mo Han did not attend the meeting.
He generally offered only a direction. As for how Li Xiande and his daughter chose to plan and develop the business, he had never interfered.
At that moment, Mo Han was drinking tea at the Worthy Gathering Manor.
Jiang Li had to admit that he rather admired Fifth Master’s tea-making skills. Whenever he had nothing else to do, he would come to the manor, ask Fifth Master to play a couple of games of chess with him, and drink tea.
Sometimes Shocking Blade would come over as well and offer him a few pointers.
Mo Han was quite pleased with Shocking Blade’s talent.
Tyrant Blade was even more diligent than he had expected, and his progress had been remarkably swift.

Of course, Fifth Master truly lived up to his origins in intelligence work. Since taking charge of the Worthy Gathering Manor again, he had provided Mo Han with a great deal of important information.
The manor’s intelligence network now covered half of China, with more than a thousand agents spread across ten major provinces and several hundred cities.
The speed of its expansion was frightening even to Mo Han.
If he had been responsible for it himself, he certainly could not have matched Fifth Master.
“The company’s expansion into Chandu this time will require vigilance regarding three families: the Yang family, the Wang family, and the Hu family.”
Fifth Master knew Mo Han had not come merely to drink tea and play chess. He picked up a white piece and placed it on the board before continuing, “All three families built their fortunes in pharmaceuticals, and they are extremely powerful. Within Chandu’s aboveground circles, they all rank among the top ten.”
Mo Han returned a piece and nodded, signaling for him to continue.
“Their influence in the aboveground circles is formidable, and their relationships are exceedingly complicated. Once we force our way into Chandu and compete with them for the market, they are unlikely to sit back and do nothing.”
He paused to take a sip of tea before continuing. “At present, Chandu’s underground forces have no leader. Those three families may well send the surviving factions out to make trouble for us. We cannot afford to overlook that possibility.”
“It’s nothing. They won’t be able to make much of a storm.”
Mo Han lifted his own teacup and took a sip. Fifth Master hurriedly refilled it.
“Once I leave for Chandu tomorrow, just keep an eye on Qian City for me,” Mo Han said.
Fifth Master nodded. “Qian City should actually be the safest place of all. The strongest member of the Mo family is dead now, so they probably won’t cause any more trouble.
“Besides, people in the north are now calling Qian City a forbidden ground of the underground world. The factions that once wanted to lay claim to its underground circles have all abandoned the idea.
“By the way, the Mo family seems to have formed an alliance with the Hidden Sect. That is something we must guard against.”
“The Hidden Sect? A bunch of cowardly, spineless martial artists who are afraid of death. They won’t be able to stir up much trouble either.” Mo Han gave a cold laugh.
“Keep working hard. There may be an even greater battlefield waiting for you in the future,” Mo Han said.
“Yes.” Fifth Master nodded. No matter what kind of battlefield awaited him, he had nothing to fear.
The two men chatted for a while longer. After finishing the game, Mo Han rose and left.
Fifth Master returned to his own affairs.

The next day, Mo Han and Li An'an went directly to Chandu.
The new factory had actually begun construction long ago and had already reached the inspection stage.
Li An'an had come in person to take charge of the overall operation.
Once the factory went into operation, there would be no shortage of work to handle.
After spending a busy week in Chandu, only a few days remained before the new factory officially began production.
At that moment, Li An'an was occupied in her office when Ma Jiaojiao entered.
“President Li, the Yang family’s eldest young master just sent you an invitation. They’re holding a gathering for Chandu’s young entrepreneurs and would like you to attend.”
As she spoke, Ma Jiaojiao handed Li An'an an elegant invitation.
Li An'an looked up, set down the pen in her hand, and accepted the invitation.
“I doubt this invitation is meant kindly.” Li An'an closed it with a cold smile.
Before coming to Chandu, Fifth Master had already given her detailed information on the major companies there and the people behind them.
The Yang Corporation had also built its fortune in pharmaceuticals. They were most likely using this gathering to probe the strength of Xiaoxiao Pharmaceuticals.
Xiaoxiao Pharmaceuticals was the new name Li An'an had chosen for the company herself.
After the incident involving Li Xianren, she had changed the name of Li Pharmaceuticals to Xiaoxiao Pharmaceuticals, naming it after her daughter’s nickname.
The branch here had been given the same name.
“Should we simply turn him down?” Ma Jiaojiao asked.
“No. Xiaoxiao Pharmaceuticals is destined to become the focus of attention in Chandu. Naturally, it’s necessary to establish contact with the various powers here.” Li An'an shook her head.
“Then let Brother Han accompany you. We’re new here, and I doubt the Yang family’s eldest young master has good intentions.” Ma Jiaojiao nodded.
“Mm.”
Li An'an nodded, took out her phone, and called Mo Han.
