Chapter 168: This Lesson Is Free of Charge
"What do you want to do?"
Seeing Mo Han walking towards him, Yang Ling felt his heart sink and immediately shouted, "How dare you lay a hand on me!"
"Slap!"
Mo Han did not hold back at all, raising his hand and delivering a sharp blow.
It was heavy and forceful!
The Yang family had already secretly made moves against Tiny Pharmaceuticals, so did they really think he would show any courtesy?
"Hit you?"
Mo Han sneered. "I just want you to honor our bet. Surely the young master of the Yang family is not someone who goes back on his word?"
Clutching his face in burning humiliation, Yang Ling glanced at the plate set aside earlier and roared instantly, "Does Tiny Pharmaceuticals not want to survive in Chengdu anymore?!"
"If you dare touch me, I will utterly destroy Tiny Pharmaceuticals!"
Mo Han acted as though he had heard nothing at all.
He had lost count of how many such threats he had received. If the Yang family could actually pull that off, Mo Han would concede defeat.
He continued walking forward and grabbed Yang Ling firmly by the collar, lifting him effortlessly as if he were a stray kitten. "Young Master Yang, let's separate matters. If you want to destroy Tiny Pharmaceuticals, by all means, bring it on. But right now, since you lost the bet, accept the consequences."
With that, he dragged Yang Ling straight to the ground, pinned him down, pried his mouth open with one hand, and grabbed the pastries with the other, shoving them directly into his throat!
"Mmph—!"
"Mmph—mmph, cough, cough!"
Li An'an was momentarily stunned, but she quickly snapped out of it. Li Xiande had told her that this Yang family in Chengdu required careful observation as they were far from decent.
Therefore, she had always maintained a sense of vigilance toward Yang Ling.
Seeing Mo Han take direct action now, she instantly understood that he must know much more than she did.
After all, the intelligence dossier had been given to her by Fifth Master, and Fifth Master was one of Mo Han's people.
It was impossible for Mo Han to be unaware of these matters.
She chose not to stop him.
The surrounding guests were frozen in shock.
Mo Han was actually this domineering!
Although everyone understood that Yang Ling had lost a bet to Mo Han, with the stake being the consumption of that entire plate of pastries, under normal circumstances, they would have gladly enjoyed the spectacle. But this was the young master of the Yang family!
The future heir of the Yang family!
Mo Han had completely and irrevocably offended him!
"Mmph—"
Yang Ling tried to break free, but how could he possibly match Mo Han's strength? He couldn't shake him off at all. He opened his mouth to speak, only to have it stuffed full again.
"Let go of our young master!"
Seeing this, his driver rushed forward with an angry roar, throwing a punch straight at the back of Mo Han's head!
Such a perfect opportunity—you were the one who struck our young master first. Even if I beat you to death, it won't matter.
The Yang family will even reward me!
Clenching his fists without the slightest hesitation, the driver poured all his strength into a fierce, violent strike.
"Bang—!"
Yet without even turning his head, Mo Han casually lashed out with a kick that landed squarely on the driver's chest. In an instant, the driver flew backward like a cannonball, smashing through several tables before crashing to the ground and wailing in agony.
From start to finish, Mo Han didn't even glance his way, entirely focused on the task at hand.
He stuffed every single pastry from the plate straight into Yang Ling's mouth!
Yang Ling's face had already turned completely crimson!
"Young Master Yang, the most important thing in life is to keep one's word," Mo Han said indifferently. "If your elders didn't teach you that, allow me."
Yang Ling flailed his arms, suffocating.
He had no choice but to swallow, forcing all the pastries down. His throat felt completely plugged, leaving him unable to utter a single sound.
After a long while, every last pastry was crammed inside by Mo Han.
Releasing his grip, Mo Han watched as Yang Ling's face turned a bruised purple. The young man hurriedly snatched a bottle of beverage, chugged it down, and broke into a violent fit of coughing...
"Cough, cough, cough! Cough, cough!"
It took a long time for Yang Ling to catch his breath. The sensation of suffocation he had just experienced made him genuinely feel as though he were dying!
How dared Mo Han treat him this way?!
"You... you..."
All of Yang Ling's elegance and poise had vanished.
His tailored suit was creased and his hair disheveled. His face was nearly twisted in agony, and his stomach was bloated to the point where he felt ready to burst open!
"Don't mention it. This lesson is free."
Mo Han crouched down, reaching out to pat Yang Ling's face.
"Do you know what happens to the last person who dared harbor thoughts about my wife?"
"I think you'd rather not know."
"You...!"
Gritting his teeth, Yang Ling glared venomously at Mo Han. He wanted to spit out harsh threats, but meeting Mo Han's gaze made the words freeze in his throat.
It felt as though he were being locked in the sights of a terrifying beast!
That terror stemmed from the deepest, most primal depths of his own soul!
Having said his piece, Mo Han stood up and took Li An'an's hand.
"Let's go home. These pastries taste awful; they're miles behind Mom's cooking."
Watching Mo Han lead Li An'an away, Yang Ling struggled up from the floor, looking thoroughly wretched.
The surrounding whispers and pointed fingers only fueled his humiliation and resentment.
The entire purpose of this networking cocktail party was to showcase his charm and catch Li An's attention so he could advance to the next step.
And the result?
The abrupt appearance of Mo Han had slapped him hard across the face and made a public spectacle of him!
"Young Master Yang! Young Master, are you alright?"
Clutching his chest, the driver hurried over, his face etched with worry.
"Slap!"
Overwhelmed with fury, Yang Ling lashed out and struck the driver squarely across the face. "Are you hoping something terrible happens to me?! Cough, cough, cough!"
Every couple of words triggered an endless wave of coughing, accompanied by a sharp, agonizing cramp in his stomach.
Having forced down so much food, his stomach was on the verge of giving out.
"Ah..."
Clutching his belly with a ghastly expression, Yang Ling watched beads of sweat the size of soybeans roll down. "Get me to the hospital to get my stomach pumped! Fast! Hurry up!"
Down in the parking lot, Mo Han led Li An'an to his car, completely ignoring the limited-edition Maybach blocking his path. Shifting gears and flooring the accelerator, he rammed straight into the Maybach's side, crushing the door inward.
With a swift, smooth drift, he sped away stylishly.
Seated in the passenger seat, Li An'an seemed completely unfazed by the spectacle.
It was as if there was nothing in this world her husband wouldn't dare to do.
Besides, she recognized that car—it belonged to Yang Ling, the man who had dared to harbor improper designs on her.
The last person who had dared entertain such thoughts seemed to have vanished entirely from the face of the earth.
Chatting casually with Mo Han about the day's events, Li An'an watched as the Audi sped off into the distance.
Meanwhile, back in the parking lot, Yang Ling's driver helped him stumble quickly toward their vehicle.
Staring at the car, which had been forcefully shoved into an entirely new position with its doors caved in, Yang Ling's face turned livid.
"What is the meaning of this? What the hell is going on?!"
The driver's face was drained of color, trembling all over. He had deliberately parked right in front of Mo Han's car, betting that the man wouldn't dare to ram it. But who could have possibly expected...
Mo Han simply didn't care at all!
"It... it was that guy just now. I thought he wouldn't dare hit it... Ah!"
Before the driver could finish, Yang Ling delivered a vicious kick to his shin. The sudden movement aggravated his stomach, causing him to roll his eyes in agony and collapse onto the ground, writhing in misery.
He was a picture of utter wretchedness.
