“What happened to the Tan family?” Qin Haoran asked instinctively.

Yesterday, he’d been out carousing with a college girl, and the Tan family’s downfall had been suppressed by the military department, so few people knew about it. As a result, Qin Haoran was entirely unaware that the Tan family no longer existed.

“Nothing much, except I sent them all to hell,” Mo Han replied coolly.

“You sent them to hell?”

Qin Haoran burst out laughing as though he’d just heard the funniest joke in history. “Li An’an, has your husband been so oppressed by your family that he’s desperate to boast a little? How can he say something so ignorant?”

“Mr. Qin, mind your words. And my family’s affairs are none of your concern. If I can’t resolve them, I’d rather go to jail than accept your help!” Li An’an looked at Qin Haoran with nothing but disgust.

Five years ago, before marrying Mo Han, she had truly felt a shred of affection for Qin Haoran.

But now, knowing his intentions, even that last bit of goodwill had vanished without a trace.

Stung by her rebuke, Qin Haoran’s expression turned instantly dark.

He saw Mo Han looking at him and shouted angrily, “You worthless trash! Your parents are calling you home to eat shit—what are you still doing here? Get lost!”

Just the sight of Mo Han filled him with rage.

A useless parasite like him—how dare he deserve a woman as outstanding as Li An’an?

“You’re the one who should leave.”

A cold, dangerous light flashed in Mo Han’s eyes. “Qin Haoran, I’m warning you: leave now and I’ll let this go. But if you dare harass An’an again, I’ll cripple you!”

“You bastard, how dare you threaten me? Are you looking to die?” Already furious, Qin Haoran raised his hand and swung a slap at Mo Han.

In his view, Mo Han was nothing but a useless leech. If he dared to talk back, he deserved to be hit.

“Stop!” Li An’an gasped, shocked that Qin Haoran would actually resort to violence. But it was already too late to intervene.

In the next instant, Mo Han seized Qin Haoran’s wrist in a vice-like grip. With the slightest pressure from his fingers, Qin Haoran cried out in pain, his face draining of all color.

“Mo Han, let go of me! Believe it or not, I’ll kill you!” Qin Haoran hadn’t expected such strength. Mo Han’s fingers clamped down on his artery, sending waves of agony through his arm.

“Kneel!” Mo Han barked in a low, commanding voice. He twisted with force, and Qin Haoran, groaning in pain, dropped to his knees on the floor.

Xu Fang was so frightened by the scene that she froze. This was the Qin family’s eldest son! Offending the Qin family meant certain death!

This useless man—aside from fighting, he had no skills whatsoever, always getting into trouble. He had just provoked the Tan family, and now the Qin family—was there ever a moment of peace?

“Mo Han, what are you doing? Let go of him!” Xu Fang shouted in panic.

The threats from the Tan family just days ago still haunted her, and now Mo Han was stirring up trouble with another powerful family. She was filled with dread.

Li An’an was worried too. The Tan family incident had been resolved by sheer luck, thanks to the military department’s interest in Mo Han. But the Qin family was every bit as formidable as the Tan family. Forcing Qin Haoran to kneel—how could the Qin family’s honor bear such humiliation? They would never let this go.

Li An’an wanted to speak, but Mo Han silenced her with a wave of his hand.

“This is my final warning. If you harass my wife again, it won’t just be your hand I break.” As he spoke, he twisted sharply and snapped Qin Haoran’s right wrist.

Qin Haoran screamed, sweat pouring down his pale face.

Xu Fang and Li An’an were dumbstruck, eyes wide with shock and disbelief.

“Mo Han, impressive. I see I’ve underestimated your ruthlessness,” Qin Haoran hissed, clutching his broken wrist as he staggered to his feet. “Just you wait—I’ll make sure your death is horrible!”

He turned to Li An’an, his face twisted with malice. “And as for you, you’ll soon learn what happens to those who reject me. Even if you end up in jail, I’ll make sure you experience what I’m capable of!”

With those words, he turned and left.

No one doubted he meant every word.

At least, neither Xu Fang nor Li An’an did.

Qin Haoran had the power to carry out his threats.

“You useless idiot! What have you done? You actually broke Young Master Qin’s wrist! Are you trying to drag us all to the grave with you?” Xu Fang screamed in fury.

Qin Haoran’s parting gaze had terrified her to the core. Their family was already in enough trouble, and now Mo Han had brought this disaster upon them—how could she not be angry?

“He won’t dare cause trouble. He doesn’t have the ability,” Mo Han replied calmly, meeting Xu Fang’s gaze with a hint of displeasure. He paid no heed to Qin Haoran’s threats.

“You! Ugh…” Li An’an was at a loss for words. Her husband, usually so restrained, was now wild and uncontrollable—she didn’t even know what to say.

This was the Qin family’s eldest son—a man few in Qiancheng would dare offend.

And now, thanks to Mo Han’s actions, they had thoroughly antagonized the Qin family.

There would be no peace now!

“An’an, forget about this useless man. Go see Young Master Qin at once and beg for his forgiveness—otherwise, there’s no way out of this!” Xu Fang snapped, ignoring Mo Han entirely. Resolving the pharmaceutical incident was now the most urgent task.

“Mom, that’s enough. I won’t beg him,” Li An’an replied firmly, shaking her head.

“Trust me, I’ll handle this. Just take me to the lab,” Mo Han said.

“You’ll handle it? What can a useless man like you do?” Xu Fang retorted.

With no other options, Li An’an could only lead Mo Han toward the laboratory.

Xu Fang, seeing this, stormed off in a fury.
