Chapter 92: This Is Nothing but a Demon
“So you’re Mo Han?” Zuo Lengqi looked him over, then took out a photograph and compared it against his face.
Mo Han did not answer. His gaze slid past Zuo Lengqi and settled on the two security guards writhing on the ground.
Zuo Lengqi had struck with brutal force; both guards had had their arms twisted straight out of joint.
Had they not been veterans, far stronger in will than ordinary men, they would have long since fainted from the pain.
“Who are you?” Mo Han looked back at Zuo Lengqi, murder flashing in his eyes. “The Heavenly Assassins? Or the Zuo family of Yu Province?”
The killers from yesterday afternoon had belonged to the Heavenly Assassins.
“The Heavenly Assassins?” Zuo Lengqi gave a cold laugh. “Hard to believe. You’re young, yet you seem to have made quite a few enemies.”
“Does your Zuo family think that because I wiped out the entire underworld of Qian City without personally killing anyone, I don’t dare kill?”
Mo Han suppressed the fury boiling in his chest. The Zuo family had not only moved against the pharmaceutical factory on every front, they had even sent people here to cause trouble for him. That had utterly enraged him.
“Whether you dare kill or not has nothing to do with me,” Zuo Lengqi said with a sinister smile. “But you dared slap our Second Young Master. For that, you die today.”
“What are you but a filthy cur?”
Mo Han smiled. “You want to kill me? With an ant like you?”
He had been holding back his anger for some time.
“Insolent!”
Zuo Lengqi stepped forward, and in an instant a terrifying aura spread from him.
Like some vicious dragon fixing its gaze upon prey, he looked ready to swallow Mo Han whole.
No one had ever dared call him such a thing. This Mo Han was outrageously arrogant.
Today he would not merely kill him. He would make his death savage.
With a sudden rush, Zuo Lengqi moved.
He was a machine built for slaughter, devoid of feeling and impatient with words.
His foot touched the ground, and the earth itself seemed to tremble. With a thunderous burst, he was already upon Mo Han.
“Accept your fate.”
Zuo Lengqi snorted, disdain all over his face, and drove a punch straight at Mo Han’s shoulder.
By his usual habit, he would first smash both arms, then break both legs.
Only then would he let Mo Han die slowly in despair.
But in that same instant, an even more violent force erupted.
Mo Han’s punch looked casual, almost effortless, yet it came on like a flood, fierce to the extreme.
At such close range, Zuo Lengqi’s expression changed at once.
He had only used half his strength at first, but in that heartbeat he drove it up to ninety percent. He had not expected Mo Han to be such a formidable opponent.
But there was no time.
Crack.
Mo Han’s fist was faster, stronger, fiercer.
It crashed savagely into Zuo Lengqi’s own.
At once came the sharp sound of bones splintering.
Zuo Lengqi was hurled backward, the surprise on his face turning instantly into horror.
The force of that blow was terrifying.
Had he not withdrawn in time, his entire right arm might have shattered clean through like dry bamboo.
Strong.
This Mo Han was a supreme master.
“Run! I have to get out! Otherwise the Zuo family is finished!”
His first thought was to flee and report this at once to the family head. They must never provoke Mo Han again, or the Zuo family would surely fall in Qian City.
But the moment he turned to escape, Mo Han was already in front of him.
How could he be that fast?
“You still think you can leave?”
You injure men from my pharmaceutical factory and expect to walk away?
Where in this world does such a bargain exist?
Bang.
Bang.
Bang.
Mo Han threw three punches in succession, overpowering beyond measure. In the air there came the faint sound of explosions. Zuo Lengqi had no time to react at all.
Before Mo Han, he was nothing more than a sandbag, fit only to be beaten.
In the blink of an eye, he was smashed hard to the ground, blood spraying from his mouth, all four limbs completely broken.
“Ah...”
The only sound Zuo Lengqi could still make was that low, miserable moan.
In his eyes, Mo Han was now nothing less than a—
monster.
A demon.
Those words burst into his mind. The man before him was plainly some dreadful fiend.
Now Zuo Lengqi had not the slightest power to resist. Like a dead dog, he had lost every trace of the arrogance he had shown moments before.
Just then Xu Jing and the others rushed over after hearing the commotion. The sight of Zuo Lengqi in that wretched state made even them shudder.
“Carry him out and throw him away. Whether he lives or dies depends on his luck. And send a few men to take those two to the hospital. No matter what it takes, their injuries must be fully healed.”
Mo Han glanced at Zuo Lengqi, howling like a dead dog, and gave the order.
Xu Jing and the others nodded. Two men lifted Zuo Lengqi and carried him out of the company.
Several others carried the two injured guards into Xu Jing’s BMW and drove straight to the hospital.
...
“Why isn’t Uncle Qi back yet?” Zuo Wenshan asked with a frown inside the Sheraton Hotel.
“Perhaps Master Zuo wants to torment Mo Han to death slowly,” Li Bing said awkwardly with a dry laugh. “That’s why it’s taking so long.”
Zuo Wenshan considered it and found the explanation reasonable enough.
Mo Han might be strong, but he had absolute faith in Zuo Lengqi’s power. He was surely far superior to Mo Han.
Dealing with one Mo Han ought to be effortless. There was no need to worry too much.
“Forget it. No more waiting. Let’s amuse ourselves first.”
With a wicked grin, Zuo Wenshan slapped two women on the hips, then turned back to Li Bing. “Come on, upstairs. I’ll show you something new.”
Laughing loudly, he wrapped his arms around the two beauties and headed upstairs first.
Li Bing’s face went pale. He knew exactly what Zuo Wenshan meant.
The man was a complete degenerate, a pervert who preyed on both men and women alike.
Li Bing felt sick.
But thinking of how he still needed the Zuo family’s help to ruin Li An’an’s household, he gritted his teeth and followed.
...
“Young Master Zuo, Li An’an wants to come to me for a loan.”
Zhao Degao stood before Zuo Wenshan, his face full of deference.
He had originally been one of the Zuo family’s own cultivated men. After making a minor mistake in Yu Province, he had been reassigned to Qian City.
“So Li An’an has finally run out of road,” Zuo Wenshan said with a smug smile.
“Yes. Their cash flow has already broken. If I refuse them the loan, they won’t last two more days.”
Zhao Degao smiled in agreement. “Shall I lend it to them?”
“Of course. Why wouldn’t you?”
A dark smile flickered in Zuo Wenshan’s eyes. “Have Li An’an come to the hotel to discuss it with you.”
“Understood.”
Zhao Degao gave a knowing smile and withdrew.
