Under the immense shock and terror, the murderous intent in Aoben Shan's words dissipated significantly. He moved his body, which was still wracked with agonizing pain, and his voice trembled and stuttered subconsciously. He had never dreamed that Su Yi, whom he had never truly regarded as a threat, would possess such formidable power. It was all too bizarre—neither the earlier attack that shattered the house nor the speed and strength he displayed in defeating multiple opponents could have been achieved by an ordinary Doulong expert.

A strange, eerie black Dou Qi writhed before dissipating into his body, slowly revealing Su Yi’s cold and indifferent face. Glancing coldly at Aoben Shan and his men, Su Yi sneered, "Since you could send men to raid the auction house at night, I can naturally return the favor and raid the Aoben family. It is only fair, is it not?"

Aoben Shan’s mouth hung open as he stared at the unfamiliar, youthful face before him. Although he had been mentally prepared, hearing the confirmation caused his heart to twitch violently. His eyes were unfocused, staring unblinkingly at the youth who seemed like a completely different person compared to the past. He murmured, "Then... the Grand Elder and the others?..."

"Rest assured, you will all be joining them shortly."

Su Yi’s cold, sinister voice sent a chill of despair through Aoben Shan. As expected, the Grand Elder and the others had indeed been killed. In a family, strength and the number of powerful experts were the most valued pillars of support, yet here, four dignified Douluo experts had been wiped out! Even if the Aoben family could survive this ordeal, they would undoubtedly be severely weakened and perhaps never recover.

All of this was because Aoben Shan had orchestrated a night raid on Su Yi, a plan he deemed foolproof and easy. He had expected an effortless victory, but never imagined it would bring about the destruction of his clan! Heart dead, Aoben Shan stared blankly. Faced with the impending doom of the Aoben family, he no longer cared how Su Yi had suddenly attained such power.

Crushing their will to resist in a single exchange, the disparity in their strength served as an absolute deterrent. Su Yi, unsurprised by this, let out a sinister hum. As he extended his palm, a surge of pitch-black Dou Qi erupted, instantly entangling Aoben Shan and his men like a black serpent.

"Ah—!"

As the black energy touched them, Aoben Shan and his men let out piercing, heaven-shaking howls. Their bodies, previously immobile, began to struggle and twitch violently, as if being devoured by a monster.

The wailing did not last long; soon, Aoben Shan and his men went silent and still. Those who had been the masters of one of the three great families in Changling City moments ago were now nothing more than cold corpses. The only thing still moving was the writhing mass of black energy.

Su Yi’s face was grim as he waved his hand. The black energy contracted, condensing into a jet-black bead the size of an eyeball. It flew back to Su Yi, who squinted and examined the glowing bead. A moment later, he chuckled, his voice laced with extreme cruelty: "It seems that devouring the essence and blood of the living is indeed more efficient. Even the soul power is slightly stronger..."

Licking his lips with a bloodthirsty expression, Su Yi absorbed the bead into his chest. He closed his eyes to sense the effects more precisely, then slowly exhaled and opened his eyes, sighing with dissatisfaction: "Even so, it is a drop in the bucket. When the opportunity arises, I must find stronger individuals... at least at the Douwang level, otherwise, who knows how long it will take for me to recover..."

Glancing at the shriveled corpses of Aoben Shan and the others on the ground, Su Yi snorted and flashed out of the room. Only his cold, eerie voice echoed in the silent night sky:

"Since I am here, I might as well see what treasures the Aoben family has to offer..."

...

Beneath the moonlight, Su Yi stopped before a grand pavilion. Although his earlier attack had destroyed most of the Aoben estate, some structures remained intact, and this pavilion was one of them. Its sturdy construction suggested it was no ordinary place.

The plaque of the pavilion had fallen during the destruction and split in two. Under the moonlight, one could vaguely see the weathered grooves on the old wood, suggesting it had been there for many years. Su Yi had sensed that this was likely the most important place in the entire Aoben family, usually heavily guarded and strictly off-limits. However, the guards who should have been hiding in the dark corners were long dead or had fled during the earlier shockwaves.

"Heh, I didn't expect someone to be left inside. I wonder if they were guarding the place or just hiding," Su Yi chuckled sinisterly upon sensing a Douluo-level expert inside. With a flick of his sleeve, he unleashed a punch filled with fierce power against the thick, black stone door. With a deafening boom and a cloud of dust, the door shattered into countless pieces along several massive cracks.

Before the dust settled, Su Yi darted into the pavilion like lightning. He had not gone far when a fierce blast of energy struck toward his chest! Su Yi snorted coldly, raised his right hand, and slapped at the attacker. When the two forces collided, the attacker’s face changed dramatically; his body shuddered violently before he spat blood and flew backward, slamming heavily into a distant stone wall.

The man remained embedded in the wall, lifeless. A look of shock and disbelief lingered on his face, as if he could not fathom being killed in a single strike by such a young boy.

After the strike, Su Yi ignored him and began to survey the surroundings. The light was dim, provided by faint fire pearls on the walls, making the already quiet pavilion feel even more desolate.

Inside, there were several spacious corridors to the left, each marked with characters likely indicating elemental attributes—evidently a place to store Dou techniques. However, many of these passages were cracked with stone fragments scattered everywhere, and one had even partially collapsed.

Showing no interest, Su Yi glanced coldly at the passages and turned his gaze to the right. Along the long corridor wall, every few meters, there was a square alcove about half a meter in size. They were shallow, and inside sat various items, protected by faint yellow light barriers.

Although the barriers were faint, they contained considerable energy. It seemed one needed at least the strength of a Douluo expert to break them, indicating these were not simple items but treasures the Aoben family had guarded with great effort. Su Yi, however, sneered coldly and waved his hand. Countless arrows of pitch-black Dou Qi struck the yellow barriers.

Under the onslaught of these sharp arrows, the barriers—capable of resisting ordinary Douluo—shattered like tofu, dissolving into yellow mist. With the obstacles gone, Su Yi scanned the items with indifferent eyes. He raised his right hand slightly, and several medicinal herbs flew out of the alcoves into his palm.

The herbs hovered, spiraling, before suddenly stopping and collapsing under the pressure of his internal force. Su Yi clenched his right hand, baring his white teeth, and the herbs transformed into liquid and vapor, flowing into his mouth to be absorbed in an instant.

The essence consumed, he threw the dregs to the ground. Su Yi closed his eyes, digesting the energy. Perhaps because these herbs were insufficient for his current needs, the process did not take long. He opened his cold eyes and sighed, "These herbs are truly too low-grade. I didn't even need to use my Dou Qi flames to refine them... It seems small families like this are all the same, incapable of acquiring anything truly good."

Changing his focus, he walked to the innermost alcove and retrieved a gold currency card. He glanced at it and snorted: "Only 160,000 gold coins, truly pathetic... Though that brat had nearly 600,000 to 700,000, bringing the total to about a million. That should be enough to acquire a decent set of medicinal ingredients..."

Putting the card away, Su Yi left the pavilion without a second glance. He rose into the air and returned to the dark night sky. His cold gaze turned toward the north, and a voice filled with deep malice and lewdness echoed through the night:

"Heh heh! That woman named Meiya is truly a rare beauty. Should I give chase and have some fun with her?"
